The Bull Moose Party was a Progressive Third Party founded by Teddy Roosevelt in 1912. Just like today, the two-party system had left everyday Americans out in the cold while corporations enjoyed unchecked power and influence. Roosevelt declared a mission "to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics..."
The party's platform included a "Square Deal" for middle America that paved the way for many securities Americans still enjoy today including
social security insurance for the elderly and disabled, unemployment insurance, a minimum wage law, an eight-hour workday, farm relief, workman's compensation and women's right to vote.

That is the last thing we need. We seek teachers, baristas, students, hospitality workers, police officers, veterans, social workers, retirees, construction workers - people who represent real America and who actually know a thing or two about legitimate work.
